negra sombra from Galicia

negra sombra by Luz Casal and Carlos Nuñez | from movie Mar Adentro (I strongly recommend)

this morning, I was listening to the radio, where galician spoke about the most horrifying nightmare they went through some years ago.... the worst natural disaster in the country... A boat spilled 50,000 tonnes of oil over the sea, polluting thousands of miles of the galician coast. Yesterday, spanish politicians decided no one is responsable for this.

I've been listening to truly moving and touching stories of how they lived that disaster. All nature was distroyed, sick. The fisherman, and neighbours, one by one, went into the waters to try and save any life they could. You can read about these news on the BBC here.
(sea pictures taken on Sunday's sunrise)
I couldn't help to share tears listening to those broken voices... all the images we've seen, all the people alone with a destroyed nature, animals and efforts with no government help... Spain is already alone and broken.

a feeling

they say, that the brave ones, are the ones who face their fears, as small as they can be. Those are the brave ones, not the ones that make huge successes without a strong effort, but the ones who make that small and appearing to be insignificant steps, that mean a world to them.

these mute colors are the way I feel lately... running out of energy, my body just moves because it has to, and now, it has reached my inside too. My ideas are falling, no creative images are coming out from me... We'll keep on fighting to get energy and light back.

these days | iphone diary

these days are being a little crazy in my life, thing that causes me more mental peace... me focusing in so many things leaves me a space for not looking at my inside so much, also a thing I was really needing to happen right now... so while time slips through my fingers, I get to have the chance to appreciate the small place where I live... I'm not liking to go to the city these days... I miss the peace, the time slowing down, the light I have where I live... the chance to see so much sky, so many horizons, the intensity of the colors around me, though I miss following the trees' changes...

and the garden keeps bringing us treasures...

Will I manage to live the life I've dreamed..? we are the only responsible for these things to happen aren't we..? maybe someday I reach that point so close to them... I wonder if I will manage to do it so good, so right to reach them... but as I always say, I'm trying, and I'm trying my best... hope I'm in the way.

oh weekend

it's been an amazing weekend..! so much love..! these two have brought me magic! they always do, but it's been their first visit home, and I couldn't be happier!!! I took care of them over seven years, every day, can't tell how much I love them!
Friday
such a wonderful night!
they made me the sweetest gifts!

Saturday
Summer brings those vibes... where nights are longer, the sea smells like heaven, and the feeling of time slowing down while you can stare the skies turn purple, red and orange...
a small fun fair has arrived to the village;
sometimes life seems to be this easy, lights, fun, brise, stars, sea, beer, sand under your feet, very few times I feel it this way, so I just wanted to enjoy this feeling as long as it lasts...

roadtrip into the wild | part II

these shoots I've taken from landscapes and so special places make me love even more, photography and also my country... feeling the challenge of capturing so much, but in a very simple and personal way... learning to let go and experience the present moment, the small details, and trying to live outside the lens too... so here I bring the last images I shot for a catalan tourism website...
* independent Catalunya's flag heading the seas...

Sant Pere de Rodes. right bove the skies...

and we ended up in Dali's village, Port Lligat...

first beach

on the sand and feeling the sun

can't describe the feeling... the freedom I feel just laying on the sand, under the healing sun... as if the blue of the sky, the sound of the sea, and my almost naked skin, just melted under that warmth... I can't wait to take my first swim!

Love finding these wee little treasures in the sand...

sun heals my soul sometimes...

Cadaqués | part one

Saturday's sea day

two hours away from home, we travelled to such a lovely village, where Dalí used to live with Gala, called Cadaqués... the beach is made of stones, black ones, green ones, full of life inside... greens, blues and crystal, surrounded by white small houses with blue and green windows... just bright and shiny!

Summer is arriving, little by little...
